In the world today, there is just so much noise. Noise from people, stuff and the media.
I have always used the 'silence is a good motivator' tool when working with people in self-help/support groups. It seems in society today, to be silent is such an uncomfortable feeling that most people automatically make 'noise' to overcompensate.
Today, try to rest in His quietness. Listen to God.
Try to have at least 15 minutes of not saying a word, not making 'noise'.
When you are done with that 15 minutes, ask yourself-am I making a joyful noise when I do open my mouth today? If not, take another 15 minutes to stop and think...listen and try again.
Go forth, make a joyful noise.
